Rigi's miracle

Remember seeing the image of Elvis Presley on a piece of toast? Well, I believe we have done one better here.  This is an image of Bruce Willis that has spontaneously appeared on one of my cowhide chews. (or wait.....is it Burt Lancaster?).  For those that don't see it:  Bruce (or Burt) is looking to his left with a strange white grimace and an oddly whitish nose.
                                                        Life is amazing, innit?

Fast Food

I finally got to hang with a visiting dog.  And guess what, he gets better food than I do!

His Feeder brought over some of his special gourmet food.  My Feeder put out two bowls – one with my food, and the other with the special, delicious, gourmet food for my friend Ozzie.  At yum time,Ozzie made a beeline for my food! Is he nuts? His food is way better than my food! Anyway, he ate mine and I ate his, and it was heaven for both of us.

He also enjoyed my toys.

America's Top Dog

Do I have a chance? Maybe if I get that new collar with all the sparkly thingies on it.

Three legged-dog

No comment.  Just a day in the life of moi.  I hope my other leg stays dry.

Going home

Pogo wanted to come home with us.  Yes, he was really excited about going on a 20 hour drive South through forest, desert and urban populations all the while listening to audiobook Wolf Hall.  What could appeal more to a Coton de Tulear than Henry VIII?

jobs I would like

I know what your are going to say.  If  I only had studied calculus, I would be able to have a job like this too.  This was a hotel the Feeder and Otherone stayed at on our trip up North.

I want a sister too

So unfair.  Bo gets a sib but not me.  Sunny is the new addition to the first family. It looks like these two lucky dogs are posing with the Washington Monument in the background.  They look pretty happy together (except they are looking off in different directions!).  I do love being an only dog, but seeing this picture makes me think that I could find even more happiness with another.  But wait.....would I have to share Superman????

Doggie Portraits by Layla

You know I love art, especially portraits of dogs like moi.  Here is my 9 year old pal showing some of her fantastic drawings that really capture the essence of dogginess.  The one on the left  shows dog the calculator, the diviner of sums, the thinker.  On the right she illustrates the contemplative, sensitive side that all us doggies have.
We got to see these portraits as a preview of Layla's first art show and sale which concentrates on her portraits of dog.  The opening is this Saturday. We are excited!

Noble Dogs of Yore

This book was published a few years ago, but the Feeder just got around to reading it (She is so SLOW!).
She tells me it is a fantastic book that explains much about the strong interaction between us and people.
It is not only a biography of the many dogs that portrayed RTT, but also is a story of his Feeder, Lee Duncan, who is a fascinating character himself. It covers a lot of ground - World War I, silent movies, the early Hollywood years, the talkies, advent of TV and the machinations of the movie business - and is an engrossing read.  (So she says.  As you know we dogs don't read, or if we do, we don't talk about it.)

More dogs of politicians - the series

Bringing together two of my interests - my fellow dogs and politicians, today I'm showing a painting done by our ex-President George W. Bush.  This is a portrait of Barney, who famously lived in the White House and is now no longer with us.
I am not sure this changes my political views, but I think GW has captured something good here.
