So - another story about whether Charley the poodle and his human, John Steinbeck, really did what they said they did on their trip chronicled in the memoir "Travels with Charley". True, when the feeder read parts of it to me it didn't seem likely that he had all the experiences described. But, even if John S. did spin his stories a bit, his take on the USA he saw at that moment (1960) rings true, at least to this dog.
Only one real problem with the book from my POV - there wasn't enough info about Charley.

A novelist and his poodle
